The Henry County Museum will present an exhibit of the "Greatest Generation" which features a history of military service during the wars of the 20th Century. Although the display will honor those who served from World War I through the Gulf War, the primary focus of the exhibit will be those who served during World War II.
Exhibit will showcase the persoanl artificats and meorabilia of those who answered the call during America's times of need.
Display hours 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., June 13 through July 8
Additional Museum activities will center around the Homestead area. This will include arts and crafts plus living history displays.
The Henry County Museum will`"Honor the Past" with a working 1900's post office in the original building at 201 W. Franklin. The Post Office was located iun the west room of the Citizen's Bank Building (formerly the Henry County Bank) on the Northwest corner of the square from 1900 to 1912. This room is now the "Children's Corner" of the Museum's DeLozier building.
U. S. Postal Service employees will be availabe at this location from June 29 to July 1, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Mail will be stamped with a special Olde Glory Days cancellation stamp. Stamps and other memorabilia will be available for purchase. Due to space limitations, packages will not be accepted at this location.
The Clinton Arts Council is sponsoring the 5th Annual Ike Parker Memorial Fine Arts Show, which will be held in the East Side of the Museum's DeLozier Building on June 29, 30, and July 1. Artists from the area will display their works for public viewing. Watercolors, oils, acrylics and photographs will be on display. A Youth Division will feature the artwork of Kindergarten through 8th grade students.

Friday, June 30, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday, July 1, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
A beautiful, limited edition, hardcover volume illustrating the history and personality of Henry County in the 20th Century will be available during Olde Glory Days at the Chamber's Information Booth and the Henry County Museum. The book includes more than 180 pages with over 200 photographs. All proceeds go to benefit the operation of the Henry County Museum.
"3 on 3" basketball will be palyed on the West parking lot of the Courthouse Square. The Women's Division will be on Thursday, June 29, the Boy's Division on Friday, June 30 and the Men's Division on Saturday, July 1. Registration will begin each day at 7:00 am and the games will start at 8:00 am. More information is available at 660-885-7116.
The Area Transportation Service(ATS) buses will run special routes and times during Olde Glory Days. Anyone wanting to attend the festivities on the Square, but not wanting to search for parking, can call ATS for a ride to the Square. The return trip home can be made by catching the bus at the Southeast Corner of the Downtown Square, in front of the Depot.
Buses will run from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, June 29 and June 30, and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 1.The bus will deliver during the day on an on-call basis with no charge to the Downtown Square/ Arrangements for a bus ride to the Square can be made by calling the ATS number, 660-885-3114.
