The Henry County Museum welcomes visitors from Thursday, June 30 through Saturday, July 2. Regular admission applies from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday; admission is free on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Henry County Museum is located at Washington and Franklin, on the Northwest corner of the Historic Square District. It comprises five major sections:
The Dorman House was built in the 1850s and is one of the oldest homes in Clinton and one of only seven listings on the National Register of Historic Places in Henry County. Visitors can enjoy free tours of the house, located one block west of the square on Franklin Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, and from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
The Dorman House was purchased in 1997 by Clinton Main Street, to avoid demolition. Restoration took eight years, and many documents and photos found in the house were helpful in that process. The house, acquired by the Henry County Historical Society in 2009, is now available for public tours. Funds from the tours are used for maintenance and upkeep.

It's that time again! Clinton residents, show some spirit by decorating to celebrate Independence Day. The theme for this year is the same as our theme for Olde Glory Days: "Happy Birthday Clinton; 175 Years Strong!" Help us celebrate and honor the men and women who fight to keep our country free.
First-, second-, and third-place winners will receive Clinton Chamber of Commerce gift certificates. The "block" that shows the most spirit will also receive an award. Entry forms are available at the Depot and must be returned by Noon on Tuesday, June 28. Judging will take place on Wednesday, June 29. Winners will be announced the evening of Thursday, June 30.
Persistence pays off in Clinton Main Street's Window Treasure Hunt. The contest begins June 21 and runs through Saturday, July 3 at 5:00 p.m. Participating downtown businesses display numbered Treasure Hunt items in their windows. Entry blanks with corresponding numbers are available at participating businesses, the Chamber Depot, Olde Glory Days Store and the Information Booth during Olde Glory Days. If you complete the form correctly and return it by the deadline, you qualify for the drawing held Saturday evening (you need not be present to win). All winners received Chamber gift certificates, first place is $150, second place is $100 and third place is $50. Happy Hunting! Winners will be announced prior to the 7:00 p.m. show on the South Side Stage Saturday evening.
