Henry County Museum

align="justify" The Henry County Museum serves as an anchor for Clinton's historic square, and Olde Glory Days is no exception. This year, the museum celebrates the community's heritage and our country's freedom with several activities.

The Henry County Museum welcomes visitors from Thursday, June 30 through Saturday, July 2. Regular admission applies from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday; admission is free on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A special collection will be on display honoring the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

The Museum welcomes you to stroll through the exhibits and the history, seeing life as our forefathers lived while enjoying our present day air conditioning.

The Henry County Museum is located at Washington and Franklin, on the Northwest corner of the Historic Square District. It comprises five major sections:

The DeLozier Building, which is home to the Children's Theater.
The Anheuser-Busch Building, which holds the museum's main collections.
The Annex and Village, which will be home to the Civil War exhibit.
The Homestead, which includes a restored Dog-Trot log cabin, barn, and other exhibits.
The Dorman House, one of the oldest homes in Henry County.

Dorman House

The Dorman House was built in the 1850s and is one of the oldest homes in Clinton and one of only seven listings on the National Register of Historic Places in Henry County. Visitors can enjoy free tours of the house, located one block west of the square on Franklin Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, and from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.

The Dorman House was purchased in 1997 by Clinton Main Street, to avoid demolition. Restoration took eight years, and many documents and photos found in the house were helpful in that process. The house, acquired by the Henry County Historical Society in 2009, is now available for public tours. Funds from the tours are used for maintenance and upkeep.

Plan to visit the Dorman House during Olde Glory Days this year and sample our community's heritage. Find More About

The Dorman House, the Historic Downtown and some Clinton History.

Olde Glory Days Wii Bowling Tournament

The fourth annual Wii Bowling Tournament will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 12:00 Noon - 4:00 p.m. at the Delozier building located on the Northwest corner of the Square in Clinton. The Wii Bowling tournament is open to anyone between the ages of 4 and 15 years. The event is sponsored by KCP&L.

There will be three winners this year. One winner for a Wii gaming system will be chosen by random drawing of ticket numbers which you can win according to your score. Top male and female scorers will each win a Chamber gift certificate.

Pork Chop Revue

The Olde Glory Days committee is pleased to announce a very unique addition to our lineup of acts this year! You might say these performers are known for always "hamming it up" and "hogging the spotlight."

The world's foremost trained pig show, The Pork Chop Revue, will be performing at Olde plory Days. You won't want to miss the act, where you'll witness the most amazing stunts and tricks performed by the biggest and most talented pigs you've ever seen!

The Pork Chop Revue debuted in 1956. For half a century now the playful porkers have been part of three generations of the Kimes family and gained great notoriety. They've made film and television appearances and are featured favorites of nearly a dozen television networks.

At the show you'll see pig trainer Les Kimes and his two sons help put the pigs through their paces from jumping hurdles to running an agility course to even singing and dancing! The Kimes family shares with the audience little known facts about pigs and some of their own personal knowledge and experiences, like how each member of the family takes turns caring for and training the pigs from bottle feeding to adulthood.

The family's love and respect for these amazing animal entertainers is abundant. And they can't wait to introduce the whole gang to you! The Kimes family invites you and your family to come and spend some time with them and The Pork Chop Revue! They will be performing on Thursday, June 30, and Friday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Saturday, July 2, at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
