Watch Us Grow!

Ground breaking for the new building for the Lenora Blackmore Branch took place on Friday, July 11, 2008. Dirt work started on Monday, July 14. The new building was built by Greg Frencken and houses both the Lenora Blackmore Branch Library and Greg Frencken Insurance. It is located at the northwest corner of Main and Benton streets in Windsor.

By September 9, 2008 the cement floor was in.

As of October 14, 2008 the exterior walls had been framed; by October 21, 2008 the roof was on and brick work began on December 9, 2008.

By February 17, 2009 all of the exterior brickwork was done, the entrance ramp and steps had been poured, the library's Book Drop was in place, and work on the interior walls and flooring was underway.

As of March 4, 2009 the sidewalks had been poured, the Henry County Library name was up on the building, with the interior painted and carpeting almost finished.

As of March 10, 2009 the carpeting is finished and some of the furniture has arrived.

The Grand Opening took place on May 27, 2009!!!!
