The library now provides their patrons the convenience of over 5000 eBooks online.
EBooks are electronic versions of printed books which can be viewed on any computer connected to the Internet.
You can browse eBooks for quick research and reference or check them out and read them at your leisure.
Since eBooks are online they're available at your convenience anywhere, anytime.
You also don't have to worry about returning them as they are automatically returned
at the end of your four hour checkout period.
To set up a free account you must come into the library and fill out the logon information at
Netlibrary - http://www.netlibrary.com - with username and password.
Then using your internet connection you may access ebooks from home.
The Advanced Search function will locate an eBook by Title, Author, Subject, Keyword,
Full Text, Publisher, Publication year, ISBN, or any combination of these criteria.
The Command Search lets you create a free-form query to locate an eBook.
Use this search feature if you are familiar with Boolean operators and building search queries.
The majority of eBooks contained in this collection are how-to and reference materials.
As a netLibrary member, patrons may view thousands of publicly accessible eBook collections
which include classics, as well as speeches, government documents, and other resources.
Each user may personalize his account creating a list of favorites, bookmark tabs and note tabs,
which allow you to make notations about information found in a book. Another feature is the
dictionary tab which allows you to look up any term while you are reading an eBook.
The audio pronunciation box may be used to hear the correct pronunciation of a word. To hear the audio, you would need to make sure that you have speakers, a sound card and that your computer's sound system is operational.
When viewing an eBook online, you can display only one page at a time.
Printing is allowed, however, netLibrary delivers a copyright message
if a suspicious usage pattern indicative of excessive printing or copying is detected.
The library's Internet access computers are available for use by the public from 8:15 am each morning,
until fifteen minutes before closing each day.
You must have a Henry County Library card in good standing to use our computers.
Black and white copies are available for ten cents each.
