Expanded Genealogy Resources at the Henry County LibraryDo you have an interest in family genealogy? Would you like to find out more about your relatives? The Henry County Library has expanded the Internet Genealogy Resources available to patrons in the Electronic Media Resources Room. Heritage Quest Online has been added to the existing subscription to the Ancestry Library. With Heritage Quest you can search the Census records from 1790 to 1930, search for information in over 25,000 family and local histories, search the Revolutionary War pension and land bounty records and access the Persi™ (Periodical Source Index) database, a comprehensive subject index covering over 6,500 genealogy and local history periodicals. Ancestry Library allows you to search the 1790-1930 Census records, the United Kingdom census records, the Social Security Death Index, Civil War Service Records, World War I Draft Registration Records, Immigrant Passenger Lists and many other databases; new databases are added every month. The Internet Access Startup screen, which appears when Internet Explorer is started on one of the EMR Internet Computers, contains direct links to the Ancestry Library and Heritage Quest web sites. They are available only from the Internet computers in the Library's Electronic Media Resources (EMR) Room. HCL's Genealogy Resources on the Internet Page |
