Henry County Library Announces PLAYAWAYS

Do you love to read but don't want to lug that heavy book around? Or maybe you love listening to audiobooks but don't want the hassle of carrying and keeping track of all those cassette tapes/compact discs. Then you will be a fan of the PLAYAWAY. The Henry County Library introduces the newest form of audio book, it's called PLAYAWAY and is a self-contained digital audiobook.

Smaller than an iPOD, this tiny audiobook system has plenty of other advantages over MP3 players, books on tape or CD's. It's far easier to use, nothing to download and no need for a separate player. It comes preloaded with one book and runs on one AAA battery. All you have to do is plug in your earbuds/headphones, press play and start listening. There are titles for all interests, from popular novels to classic literature to children's materials.

There are push buttons to allow you to slow down or speed up the narrator's voice, change the reader's pitch and tone and of course, volume control.
