Henry County, Missouri Census Results
Note: County data is from the U. S. Census. Major town population figures for 1840 to 1870 are estimates, mostly from the 1883 History of Henry and St. Clair Counties, excepting only the Clinton figure for 1870, which is from the U. S. Census of 1870. Smaller town population figures are a mixture of U. S. Census figures when available and population data from various atlases and from maps produced by the Missouri Highway Department.
Note also: The date given in parentheses after each town is the year in which the town was founded. In the case of Brownington the date (1867) is when the town of Consville was founded; Brownington itself was founded in 1869 and absorbed Consville.
In the case of Urich the date (1871) is when the original town was founded, several miles to the north, moving to the present location in 1885 when the railroad was built.
