- November 2: $60 million "good roads" amendment passed in the State of Missouri.

- July 2: The Bandstand on the Court House lawn in Clinton is dedicated.

1922
- Green Light & Power Company (later West Missouri Power Company and eventually the Missouri Public Service Company) opens a power plant at the corner of 3rd & Sedalia in the northern part of Clinton.
- June: The old Artesian Hotel in Artesian Park burned to the ground. It had not been opened for several years, and was now owned by H. P. Faris.

1923
- 11 hatcheries in Henry County shipped 6.7 million baby chickens. There were 4 hatcheries in Clinton, 3 in Windsor, one each in Montrose, Ladue, Blairstown and Urich.

1924
- March: Booth Hatchery in Clinton suffers fire which burns down one of the two main incubator buildings.
- April 4: The Bank of Ladue closes down after a quiet run. Had held $56,325 of deposits at the end of 1923.
- May: Holy Rosary Academy is closed permamently.
- May: The Prohibition Party nominates H. P. Faris of Clinton as its candidate for President of the United States.
- November: Cornerstone laid for Clinton Masonic Temple.

1925
- The Clinton municipal power system begins buying its electricity from West Missouri Power Company; this was cheaper than continuing to operate the old and inadequate municpal plant.
- September: The Clinton Theological Seminary, operated by the Seventh Day Adventists and located in the former Baird College buildings, is closed. The Seventh Day Adventists moved their seminary to a site in Illinois.
- November: Clinton Masonic Temple is dedicated. 2 stories plus basement, 60 x 110 ft, located on 2nd Street just south of the Post Office.
- November: Announcement of plans to construct a hydroelectric power plant on the Osage River near Bagnell.

1926
- January 27: The Frisco station at Brownington is moved from its old location in the center of town to a new location to the north of the town on the recently completed cutoff line from Brownington to Deepwater Junction.
- January 31: All Frisco passenger trains begin using the new cutoff line between Brownington and Deepwater Junction.
- August: Germantown Catholic Church burns down after being struck by lightning during a double wedding ceremony. The church had originally been built in 1857 with an addition in 1881.
- September: The Ku Klux Klan held their Missouri state meeting at Clinton, with 376 registered delegates.
- December: New Bush Hatchery building opened, on East Ohio Street in Clinton.

1927
- Missouri Public Service Company purchases the West Missouri Power Company from the Green family, which had developed it.
- The Clinton municipal power system is sold to the Missouri Power & Light Company.
- May: The old Baird College buildings are sold by the Seventh Day Adventists to a local group. The Adventists had decided to demolish the building for salvage; the locals bought it in the hope that they could attract some other tenant.
- September: Major flooding on the South Grand River. Highway 13 was 5 feet under water.
- September: The Women's Civic Club of Clinton opens a free public library in the courthouse, the direct predecessor of the present Henry County Library.
- October: Missouri Union Telephone Company, with exchanges at Clinton, Windsor, Urich, Montrose, Ladue, Deepwater and Calhoun, is sold by its local stockholders to the Standard Telephone Company.

1928
- Missouri Public Service Company expands its Clinton generating plant.
- June: New Germantown Catholic Church dedicated.
- October: Severe flooding on the South Grand River. Crest was 7 feet over the old record flood of 1875, with the MK&T tracks under 8 feet of water. At Brownington water was 9 feet over the flood of 1915, the record flood at this point. Between Clinton and Urich the about 6 miles of the railroad was under 2 to 8 feet of water in places, and water was 3 feet deep in the Blairstown depot. Highway 13 was under 12 feet of water. The Grand River bridge at the Knisely crossing, south of Gaines, was swept away.
