1949 Rural School Reorganization Plan
Brief description of the 1949 plan for reorganization of the rural school districts in Henry County. At the November 1, 1949 election 8 of the reorganized districts were approved and 8 rejected.
Encyclopedia of the History of Missouri
The Encyclopedia of the History of Missouri was edited by Howard L. Conard and published by the Southern History Company, of New York, Louisville, and St. Louis, in 1901. Includes a number of articles copied relating to Henry County as well as a number of articles about the Railroads of Missouri. Note: The University of Missouri Library has made available the entire contents of the 6 volume set on its website as part of the Virtually Missouri project. The books are in a section called Missouri: Its History, Geology and Culture.
State of Missouri (1904)
This book, the State of Missouri, an Autobiography was published in 1904 for distribution at the St. Louis World's Fair, also known as the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. I've copied the articles and maps for Henry County and surrounding counties.
Uel Lamkin's History of Henry County
This book was published in 1919 by the Historical Publishing Company.
It is available online as part of the
Virtually Missouri project.
