Corporate History:
Kansas City, Rock Island Railway

This is the corporate history from the Interstate Commerce Commission's Valuation Reports. The Kansas City, Rock Island Railway Company itself was organized as a subsidiary of the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railway on December 22, 1902 to acquire and construct the Rock Island's St. Louis to Kansas City line. It was conveyed to that company on January 1, 1905, after completion of the line.
