Rule 11. RECORDING OF JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS
11.1 Recording Where Mechanical or Electronic Means Employed
(1) The record in any matter may, at the discretion of the judge hearing the case, be made by utilization of electronic recording.
(2) It shall be the responsibility of the Clerk of the Circuit Court to provide personnel from his or her office and supplies to operate, report, record, catalog, store and maintain tapes for Circuit Division cases.
(3) It shall be the responsibility of the Associate Circuit Judge in Henry and Bates County, and the Clerk of the Circuit Court of St. Clair County, to provide personnel from his office and supplies to operate, report, record, catalog, store and maintain tapes for Associate Division cases and probate cases.
11.2 Photography, Videotaping or Sound Recording in County Courthouses and of Jurors and Juveniles
(1) Photography, videotaping or sound recording are not permitted in the hallways of the respective County Courthouses above the first floor, or in the hallways on any floor of a courthouse where a judicial proceeding is being held.
(2) Photography or videotaping of prospective jurors, jurors or juveniles involved in any court proceeding is not permitted at any location, including the courthouse and courthouse grounds. The term juvenile does not include a person under the age of seventeen who has been certified to stand trial as an adult.
