Rule 16. ORAL AND TELEPHONIC ORDERS/CONFIRMATION
Any judge, when inconvenient or impossible by reason of such things as the hour of the day, holiday, emergency, distance or urgency of the situation, may order orally, including by telephone, that any judicial or ministerial act within his jurisdiction be done, and the recipient of such order shall rely thereon and carry out such order as if written.
As soon as practicable, and not later than the next business day following such oral order, the same shall be confirmed, in writing, and filed by the judge in the appropriate division.
